Leather lovers are in for a treat this winter as leather trends from
the catwalks have been snapped up by the high street. Be it
jackets, trousers, skirts or even shorts there is a leather style for
everyone on offer as well as some great new leather gloves and
bags. Bring the leather look together by selecting a key staple
such as skinny trousers and team with different textures like
chunky knitwear. Leather or shearling aviator jackets are also the
key coat of the season and will look bang on trend teamed with
ladylike dresses and skirts. Head to River Island or Tesco for high
street options at great prices.

With short skirts dominating for so long hemlines have taken
a turn and are getting longer this season. Maxi skirts are set to be
big in fabrics such as velvet at New Look and silk at Oasis and the
maxi dress from summer evolves into winter weights and jersey
fabrics. The love affair with lace fabrics continues and anything
goes with lace skirts, bodies and even jackets on offer. Choose to
be pretty in pastel shades or opt for your darker side and go for
gothic black.

The smart ladylike theme is dominated by nudes and neutrals
with flashes of glamourous fur shawls and jackets. Combine
different shades such as mink and blush to make the look
interesting and trim detailing in gold and bronze to give it some
depth. A must have camel coat is also a worthy buy and is a
winner in the style stakes this season. Casual girls on the other
hand should look to their boyfriend’s wardrobe for inspiration
and team boyfriend jeans with check shirts, chunky knits and big
boots.

And boots have never been hotter than they are this winter
with styles varying from wedges, ankle boots and winter clogs.
Shearling, fur trims and killer heels are on trend details to look
out for whilst the newest shoes boast all over glitter and lace
touches. A stand out satchel is the fashionista’s bag of choice and
for finishing touches bling it up with cocktail rings and statement
necklaces.
