This exhibition showcases work by Croydon born award-winning British photographer Simon Roberts, who was appointed official artist for the 2010 election. We English is the result of Simon’s journey around the country documenting the landscape. Informed by the photography of his predecessors, including Martin Parr, and by the romantic tradition of English landscape painting, Roberts depicts ordinary people at leisure, congregating

A chance to see craftsmen at work using local wood to create a unique memento of your visit to Polesden Lacey. The skilled craftsmen from Yorkshire Woodland Products will be using their lathe to make various wooden products, all from wood from the Polesden Lacey estate. Products available on the day will include decorative mushrooms for the garden, wooden planters and festive reindeer!
